107th Conversazione and NatHistFest

We are delighted to announce that the 107th Conversazione and NatHistFest will take place on 10th and 11th April 2026

For over a 100 years, Cambridge Natural History Society has organised an annual exhibition, with displays from its members, local natural history organisations and others, which it calls the Conversazione. The word Conversazione comes from the Italian and is roughly translated as ‘a conversation’ or ‘a talking place’.  It has been used by scientific societies to describe their annual social exhibitions. The Conversazione is more than an exhibition relating to natural history as it is also a social event, enabling participants to talk to exhibitors – and to each other – about the displays.

Many thanks to CCI Services Ltd for enabling us to use the David Attenborough Building.

Anyone can exhibit, free of charge, and exhibits are very varied, covering many aspects of natural history, including the work of local environmental and conservation organisations. Please think about putting together an exhibit. More details and booking forms will be available here by early in the New Year.

Please see the general page on the Conversazione for more about it, including links to more about the 106th Conversazione in 2025, including photos and the list of exhibitors.
