Cambridge Natural History Society was founded as the Cambridge Entomological Society in 1857.
For its centenary in 1957 Charles Raven wrote a paper which was read to the Society on May 8, 1957. It was published in The Cambridge Review on 12th October 1957. The text of this article can be read here.
Henry Tribe has written various pieces relating to the history of the CNHS. Most were published in Nature in Cambridgeshire. Three of these have been put together with Charles Raven’s history into an illustrated pdf (18 A4 pages) which can be downloaded here.
Past events
